How Atlas Field Kit is built
These are the rules for this release. A later tool that reads or writes a player's own files will follow them too.
02 // BACKUP FIRST
A backup comes before a write
Edits wait on the screen where you made them. Save all stores a backup of the save pair, then writes the file. Restore puts that backup back. After a write, reload that slot from the game's save list.
03 // TWO WAYS IN
A browser, and a Windows app
The browser copy is there for a second screen: recipes, the guide, glyphs, and expeditions. Watching the save folder, writing the save, and Windows notifications need the helper that ships with the Windows app.

Atlas Field Kit
An unofficial companion for No Man's Sky.
It carries the game's recipes, field guide, portal glyphs, and expedition milestones on your device. With a save file you can add items, move them between inventories, open another slot, and add or move supercharged slots. You can edit a ship or multi-tool you already own, or add a new ship. Frigate stats and traits can be changed, and so can a settlement's perks. The Windows app writes the local save only after it has stored a backup, and it can tell you when a fleet returns or a settlement needs a decision.
